Gregg Brandyberry
Gregg Brandyberry was inducted in the CPO Rising Hall of Fame in 2016. A recognized pioneer in procurement and sourcing technology, Mr. Brandyberry is the former Vice President Procurement – Global Systems and Operations for pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline. Mr. Brandyberry was also Senior Vice President, Market Operations for FedBid, Inc., a high volume reverse auction marketplace serving the Federal Government. Formerly he was Senior Advisor for A.T. Kearney Procurement and Analytic Solutions organization. Mr. Brandyberry has over 45 years’ experience in a variety of industries including automotive, textile, manufactured goods, electronics and healthcare. He has experience in laboratory, quality, manufacturing, IT systems, operations, procurement and supply chain having held senior management roles in each discipline.
In 2003, under Gregg’s leadership, GlaxoSmithKline was awarded the prestigious Charter Institute of Procurement and Supply award for “Best Use of Technology by a Procurement Organization”. Additionally in 2005, A.T. Kearney identified GlaxoSmithKline as having deployed a global best practice portfolio of electronic procurement tools (2005 Assessment for Excellence in Procurement). In 2008, Mr. Brandyberry was named as one of the Top 25 Supply Chain Executives by Supply Chain and Logistics magazine. He was also recognized as one of the Top 100 Most Inspirational Pharmaceuticals Executives by PharmaVoice100 (the first supply chain executive to achieve this award). More recently in March of 2016, Gregg was inducted into CPO Rising’s – CPO Hall of Fame at the Harvard Club in Boston, MA.
Mr. Brandyberry has authored many articles and has been a member of many advisory boards including a past Trustee for the Center for Strategic Sourcing Leadership (CSSL). He currently is on the Academic and Strategic Advisory Board for BIOZ, an AI solution for Researchers and recently served as Senior Advisor for Supplier.ai, the “Artificial Intelligence for Procurement” company. He is also a frequent speaker at a variety of industry conferences. He continues to build out a retail and office compound in SW Mexico designed to promote and stimulate local economic growth. While semi-retired, Gregg awaits the next perfect Procurement project.
